After defeating the number one seed UCLA in match play, the Huskies advanced to the finals against last year’s champion Stanford.

The final hour of NCAA match play at Eugene Country Club was filled with two unlikely comebacks, a holed wedge from the fairway to win a match on the final hole, and momentum swings so wild that at times they changed from shot-to-shot.

Two matches went into overtime but in the end Stanford’s Lauren Kim missed a 10-foot putt on the 20th hole giving the Huskies their first ever national championship.
