Sahalee Country Club and the University of Washington Men’s Golf Program are proud to announce the creation of a new Men’s Collegiate event to be held at Sahalee in September 2023. The tournament – called the Sahalee Players Championship – will replace the club-managed, independent elite amateur tournament of the same name that has been held since 1992.

The tournament will be played over two days in early September annually, and will include 12 teams to be comprised of the best Collegiate golf programs in the USA. As part of this transition, the independent Sahalee Players Championship was not played in 2021 and will not be played in 2022 in order for Sahalee and the UW Men’s Golf program to focus on preparation for 2023.

“We at Sahalee are extremely excited to begin a new chapter of the Sahalee Players Championship, and to begin a fantastic partnership with the UW” says Kevin White, Tournament Chairman of the Sahalee Players Championship.

The field for 2023 is expected to include: Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Texas, Pepperdine, Stanford, USC, Illinois, Florida, Wake Forest, Duke, and host University of Washington – some of the top collegiate programs in the country.
