What started as an idea between a former professional football player and professional caddy has turned into a field of dreams for Pacific Northwest golfers. Welcome to the Evergreen Golf Club, a place that is more than indoor golf. There is indoor golf, of course, but much more.

The club is a 24,000 square foot indoor facility complete with 13 Trackman hitting stations. Members enjoy a huge 8,000 square foot chipping and putting green and a couple of practice sand bunkers. Of course the club offers golf lessons by PGA professional to complete the game improvement theme.

What started as a golf dream between former Seattle Seahawk Jermaine Kearse and professional golf caddy Greg Bodine has turned into a reality. Kearse has always enjoyed golf and Bodine has been a long-time caddy for Tacoma’s Andrew Putnam and Tony Finau. He currently carries the bag for United States Open champion Bryson DeChambeau. They both have combined their interest in golf with their new endeavor.

The facility, located in Tacoma opened in September and has been a hit since the day doors opened for business. There are plenty of ways to improve your game either by yourself or with their team of instructors.

The two partners open the original Evergreen Golf Club in Redmond, Wash. in 2022 and then they decided to take a look at opening a second location in Tacoma. Putnam and Bryan Weeks, the CEO of Earth Finance, joined the team to make it all happen.

The one thing that is at the top of the list for Evergreen Golf Club is its work with junior golfers. During any weekend day or after school, chances are you will find kids in the facility working with the Trackman or on their short games.

And that’s not all. Evergreen Golf Club also has a workout room complete with weights. Harry Sese and his Golfletica company will be on hand to work with players on their fitness and strength.
