LPGA major championship golf will return to Sahalee in 2024 when the course will again play host to the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

The dates are not finalized for the tournament but the event is expected to be held in June. Sahalee hosted the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2016. Sahalee has also hosted other major championships including the 1998 PGA Championship, the 2010 U.S. Senior Open and the 2002 World Golf Championship NEC Invitational.

Sahalee will be the first course to host the event twice since the PGA of American began working with the LPGA on this championship. The 2016 tournament was memorable for its exciting finish as Brooke Henderson held off Lydia Ko to win the title.

The purse for the tournament will be among the biggest on the LPGA Tour. The purse for the 2022 event was $9 million – second most on the tour.
