There’s a reason that Maplewood Golf Course in Renton is one of the most popular courses in the Pacific Northwest. Maplewood is a facility that has plenty to offer golfers, including a championship 18-hole golf course, double-tiered driving range and a practice area for putting. And don’t forget the RiverRock restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and a banquet facility.

“We are in a fortunate spot where we can offer something for everyone when it comes to golf – and more,” said Kelly Beymer, the Parks and Golf Course Director of the facility. “We have tried to make Maplewood become a place where people want to go to play golf and then visit the RiverRock afterward to continue their fun.”

The course has also achieved the designation as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” in 2009 meeting requirements in environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, chemical use reduction and safety and water conservation.

The course plays to 6,127 yards from the back tees but it is still a layout which forces you to use every club in the bag. With ponds, sand traps, creeks and plenty of tree-lined fairways, Maplewood forces you to be precise off the tee and from the fairways.

Monthly promotions have proven to be popular at the course. And the men’s and ladies clubs have proven to be a hit as well. The price is right to play Maplewood. During the high season, which begins in April, it costs $31 for 18 holes on weekdays and $37 on weekends. Call 425.430.6800 for more info. Or see the offers at Rentonwa.gov/Maplewood Golf Course.
