The PGA Tour Champions made its annual stop in the Pacific Northwest at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge between Aug. 12-14. With terrific weather and Mount Si in the backdrop, Miguel Angel Jimenez put on quite a show en route to winning the Boeing Classic at the Golf Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. with a three-round total at 15-under 201. Jimenez won the $330,000 winner’s share f the $2,200,000 purse.

Jimenez won the event by two shots over David McKenzie and four shots over Stephen Ames and Billy Andrade.

Pacific Northwest native Fred Couples started fast with a 69, but then shot rounds of 71 and 74 to finish tied for 28th and took home $17,424. Other NW natives like Kirk Triplett came in tied for 40th and collected $10,340, Brian Mogg who was born in Tacoma, came in 71st place and won $1,804.

Another interesting note for the 2022 Boeing Classic was the finish of David McKenzie, who finished second behind Jimenez two shots back. McKenzie was the third alternate to get into the field. Meaning three players had to drop out before Friday’s opening round for McKenzie to get in. With his finish, McKenzie earned a spot in the next PGA Tour Champions event.
