GolfWeek shakes up its rankings of NW courses

When GolfWeek magazine comes out with its rankings of courses that you can play nationally and regionally, there are always some surprises in store. In the Pacific Northwest, not much surprise at the top but plenty of movement underneath the top spot. In Oregon, Pacific Dunes is ranked first. In Washington Chambers Bay holds the top spot and in Idaho Whitetail is No. 1.

Nationally among the top 100 Modern Courses, the Pacific Northwest is represented by Pacific Dunes second, Old Macdonald at fifth, Bandon Dunes at eighth, Bandon Trails at 19th, Gozzer Ranch at 28th, Huntsman Springs at 30th, Chambers Bay at 31st, Gamble Sands at 48th, Pronghorn Fazio at 55th, Eugene Country Club at 90th and Wine Valley at 100th.
