Champions crowned at NW PGA Junior

Grace Lee of Bellevue, Wash. and Max Herendeen of Bellevue, Wash. won the girls and boys 16-18 divisions at the 2021 Pacific Northwest Junior PGA Championship at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.

Lee will join 144 of the nation’s top female junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the 45th Girls Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, July 27-30, 2021. Herendeen will tee it up at the 45th Boys Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Lee, 17, shot a total of 70-69-139 for the Championship and edged out Lauryn Nguye while Herendeen shot a 73-69 total to edge out Nathan Yocam.

In the Girls 13-15 age division, Tatum Otto and Jasmine Chen tied for first (Tatum won the scorecard playoff as advised in Appendix 1 of the Rules of Golf).  Angela Zhang won the Girls 12 & Under age division.In the Boys 13-15 age division, Ryder Odem won with Jeff Seong finishing second.  Tristan Kim won the Boys 12 & Under age division in a scorecard playoff against Nathan Pai and Sinjin Tran.
