Professional Angela Bagasbas from Waypoint, Calif. fired a two-round total of 1-under 143 to win the Northwest Women’s Open Presented by PNW Equipment at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club Wednesday.
Bagasbas found herself in second place after one round, trailing University of Washington golfer Kennedy Knox who opened with a 2-under 70. But Bagasbas shot an even-par 72 and went past Knox with one hole remaining to win by two shots.
Min Kyong Song of Tucson tied for third with Taya Battistella of Bellingham and Chaewon Baek of Langley, B.C. at 146. University of Washington golfer Adithi Anand was sixth at 149 while former Seattle U. golfer Jamie Huo was seventh and a former champion of the event Aram Choi of Surrey B.C. finished eighth.
