Amateur Swingle claims the crown at NW Senior Championship

Amateur Mike Swingle of Aldarra Golf Club (Falls City, WA) won the PNW Senior Players’ Championship over a strong field of 133 other PNW PGA Professionals and amateurs.

PGA Professional Tony Robydek of Meadow Park GC (Tacoma, WA) and PGA Professional Mark Knowles of McCormick Woods GC (Port Orchard, WA) finished in second place. Knowles led after the first round with a 68.

Amateur Don Bidinger of Tacoma Country and Golf Club tied for fourth with amateur Pat O’Donnell of Arrowhead Golf Club at 145. Billy Bomar of Prairie Falls Golf Club tied for sixth with amateur Greg Chianello of the Reserve.

Winning the team Four-Ball competition was a tie between PGA Professional Billy Bomar of Prairie Falls GC (Post Falls, ID) and Mike Kerns of Riverbend GC (Kent, WA) and the team of PGA Professional Scott Larsen of Larz Golf and Brad Karns of Columbia Edgewater CC (Portland, OR).
