Salsbury wins title at Tacoma City Am

Tyler Salsbury of Enumclaw put together a three-round total of 209 to win the Tacoma City Amateur championship. Salsbury won the tournament by three shots over Sean Packer, who led the event after the first two rounds.

Salsbury, who graduated from the University of Washington last year, shot a 3-under-par 68 at Fircrest Golf Club in Tacoma to move into the lead and take the championship. Packer shot a 72 in the final round to finish in second place.

Tacoma’s Michael Almote was third at 215 while defending champion Casey Dams finished fourth.
