NW resort courses are among the best in U.S.

Nine golf resorts in the Pacific Northwest are among the top 100 according to GolfWeek Magazine which has just released it listing of the top resorts in the United States for 2014.

Pacific Dunes of Bandon Dunes Resort tops the list while the other three Bandon Dunes courses are in the top 11. Old Macdonald is ranked fifth, Bandon Dunes is sixth and Bandon Trails is 11th.

Other courses hitting the GolfWeek list of the top 100 resorts from the Pacific Northwest include Pronghorn’s Nicklaus course at 35, Sunriver’s Crosswater course at 52, Salish Cliffs in Shelton, Wash. at 55, Osprey Meadows in Donnelly, Idaho at 81 and Circling Raven in Worley, Idaho at 99.

Salish Cliffs made one of the biggest moves up the rankings moving up 11 spots from the last rankings into the 55th spot on the list.
