There are a few courses around the Pacific Northwest that are celebrating their centennial this year and one of those is Mount Adams Golf Course in Toppenish, Wash. The original nine opened in 1926 with sand-oiled greens.

The course’s new owner, Pat Shield, took over in January and began an extensive renovation project to modernize the facility and closed the course to make the improvements.

The renovation process involved significant infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of a new irrigation system and a major remodel of the clubhouse, which included the addition of an event center and a new patio. A grand reopening celebration is planned for this summer.
