Cambia Health Solutions has extended its title sponsorship of the LPGA’s Portland Classic for three more years, through the 2020 event.

Entering its 47th year, the Cambia Portland Classic is the longest running non-major event on the LPGA Tour. The 72-hole tournament is scheduled to return to Columbia Edgewater Country Club the week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2, 2018 and will feature a purse of $1.3 million. The tournament will again be televised by the Golf Channel and distributed to more than 170 countries.

“The Portland Classic is a premier event that celebrates generations of women’s accomplishments and inspires the next generation of leaders through athletic achievement, mentorship and community commitment,” said Cambia President and CEO Mark Ganz. “Along with the support and partnership of other like-minded organizations, we are proud to keep the Portland Classic an iconic part of the city.”

Portland-based Cambia Health Solutions became the lead sponsor of the annual LPGA event in 2014, allowing the Portland Classic to be the stage upon which: Three of the LPGA’s most exciting players have held one of the oldest trophies in women’s golf – Austin Ernst (2014), Brooke Henderson (2015 & 2016) and Stacy Lewis (2017).

Brooke Henderson captured her first LPGA tournament victory at age 17 after winning the Monday Qualifier as a non-member of the LPGA, and won again the following year at age 18 to take the No. 4 spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Japanese superstar and 2010 Portland champion Ai Miyazato made her final North American appearance before retiring (2017).

Stacy Lewis proclaimed before the 2017 tournament she would donate her entire winnings to hurricane relief efforts in her hometown of Houston and went on to win the tournament and have her $195,000 donation matched by her sponsor KPMG.

“Cambia has been a tremendous partner,” said Tom Maletis, Chairman of tournament organizer Tournament Golf Foundation. “This three-year commitment will greatly enhance our effort to bring the community together with more sponsorship partners and bigger crowds. Beyond the golf, Cambia’s support has enabled the event to become a platform for companion efforts focused on kids, families and in particular, women’s leadership.”
