Canterwood pro wins NW Open in close finish

It was close but in the end PGA Professional Preston Bebich of Canterwood Golf Club in Gig Harbor, Wash, managed to hold on and win the championship at the Northwest Open Invitational at Sunriver’s Woodlands course.

Bebich fired rounds of 64-69-66 for a 199 total to win by one stroke over PGA Professional Daniel Campbell of Bellingham G&CC (Bellingham, WA) and PGA Professional Colin Inglis of Eugene CC (Eugene, OR). Campbell made a late run with his final-round 64 while Inglis also went low with a 66 in the third round of the 54-hole tournament.

Low amateur honors went to Akshay Anand of Sahalee CC (Sammamish, WA) who finished fifth place.

Blake Snyder of the PNW Golf Academy finished fourth two shots back of Anand.
