UW men’s team finishes fourth in final fall tournament

The Husky men’s golf team utilized a stellar performance from freshman Cory McElyea to tie for fourth in the fall-season wrap up Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle Resort.

McElyea, from Santa Cruz, Calif., shot a final round 1-under 70 and was -1 overall for the tournament to end up tied for fourth out of 76 competitors. As a whole, the Huskies shot a 15-over 370 on the day. They ended up +39 overall and tied with USC.

UCLA won by 13 shots over Stanford.
