Qualifying for the U.S. Open and U.S. Senior Open will start in May for both USGA championships.

The U.S. Open will be held June 13-16 at Pebble Beach Golf Links and there are plenty of chances for professionals and amateurs to qualify in the Pacific Northwest. Gold Mountain’s Olympic Course will be the first qualifier on May 7, then Gamble Sands in Brewster, Wash. will host a qualifier on May 8 and Waverly Country Club in Portland will be the site of a qualifier on May 13. The top finishers at those qualifiers will advance to sectionals with the top players from there advancing to the U.S. Open.

For the U.S. Senior Open, there will be two changes to qualify. Sudden Valley in Bellingham will host a qualifier on May 14 and when the OGA Course in Woodburn, Ore. will host a qualifier on June 19.

The U.S. Senior Open is set for June 27-20 at the Warren Course at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
