Developers once had big plans for a golf resort at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash. But those plans have died, according to a report from Pierce County. “The county and Chambers Bay Resort LLC have terminated the agreement to develop a resort at the Chambers Bay Golf Course” blaming “a worsening economic environment.”
A deal was struck back in 2019 for a development that would have included a hotel, clubhouse, restaurant, spa, meeting space and adjacent golf villas. But those plans have now died.
