Qualchan’s Gardner claims NW Seniors

Mark Gardner of The Creek at Qualchan in Spokane won the Pacific Northwest Senior Players’ Championship after firing rounds of 64-71-135 to win by two strokes over Mike Gove of Inglewood GC of Kenmore, Wash.. at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla.

Mark Keating of Pumpkin Ridge GC took third place. Ed Jonson of Wing Point G&CC claimed low amateur honors after finishing in a tie for fourth place with Tom Sovay of GC at Redmond Ridge and Billy Bomar of Prairie Falls Golf Club in Idaho.

Winning the team Four-Ball competition was the team of Gardner and his amateur partner John Lefriec.

Lon Hinkle of Eagle Bend GC made a rare double eagle on the seventh hole dunking a shot from 252 yards.

Amateur Keith Crimp of Ellensburg G&CC made hole-in-one on the 11th hole. with an 8 iron from 155 yards.
