Portland’s LPGA Safeway Classic gives exemption to Alexis Thompson

The LPGA Safeway Classic at Pumpkin Ridge near Portland announced that 16-year-old phenom, Alexis Thompson has accepted a sponsor’s exemption to play in the 40th Anniversary of the LPGA event, August 15-21 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

Thompson, of Coral Springs, FL, turned pro last June at age 15.
