The Pleasant Harbor Resort along the Hood Canal in Washington is finally ready to take off. The Statesman Group of Companies, LTD, and Black Point Properties, LLC, submitted an application for a Master Planned Resort (MPR) in the Black Point area. The development is called the Pleasant Harbor Marina and Golf Resort.

After jumping over more hurdles than the Olympic track team, the Jefferson County’s Board of County Commissioner’s recent approval of revisions that force the developer to start with public facilities, Pleasant Harbor Resort is finally ready to seek building permits.

The development plan will include a community center, a 9-hole golf course, spa services, sports courts, a pool and a water slide. Next up will be for the Statesman Group to apply for building permits and get rolling. The original plan included an 18-hole golf course but was denied by the county bureaucracy.
