Old Macdonald in Bandon, Ore. and Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla, Walla, Wash. are among the best new courses for the 2010 golf season, said a GolfWeek survey of the top courses that opened.

In fact, Old Macdonald was voted as the best new course in the country. The course was designed by Tom Doak and Jim Urbina and is the fourth course at Bandon Dunes Resort. The others are Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails. All are ranked among the best in the country.

Wine Valley Golf Club was designed by Dan Hixson, a Pacific Northwest golf course designer. The course finished eighth in the national rankings of the top new courses which opened in 2010.

Huntsman Springs in Driggs, Idaho was ranked second on the list. The course was designed by David McLay Kidd, the same designer who created Bandon Dunes.
