Jeff Gove of the Idaho Club finished ninth at the Senior PGA Professional Championship at Twin Warriors and Santa Ana Golf Clubs in New Mexico to lead a strong NW contingent of players.

Gove was in the hunt through two rounds shooting scores of 68 and 66 but finished with rounds of 72 and 79 to fall to ninth place, but still recording a top 10 finish in the national tournament.

By finishing in the top 35 of the tournament Gove advanced to the 2023 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East in Frisco, Texas, March 25-28. He did miss out on the top five, where those earned an exemption into the final stage of the 2023 PGA Tour Champions qualifying school.

Tom Sovay of Redmond Ridge Golf Club also made the club at the tournament.
