The Pacific Northwest will be represented on the PGA Tour for the 2015 season. Joining a cast of Northwest players will be Andres Gonzales of Olympia and Andrew Putnam of University Place who earned their spots by finishing among the top 25 on the Web.com Tour.

The had hoped to play well in their backyard Web.com event at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, but both missed the cut after the first two rounds. However, that didn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. Putnam is second on the money list while Gonzales is eighth.

Other golfers with Pacific Northwest ties earned exempt status back on the Web.com Tour next year by finishing in the top 100. Those players included former University of Washington golfer Nick Taylor, Jeff Gove of Seattle and Scott Harrington of Eugene.

Carlos Ortiz won the WinCo Foods Portland Open, an inaugural event played at Pumpkin Ridge’s Witch Hollow Course.
