LPGA, Web.com and Champions Tours set dates for NW events

The Pacific Northwest again be a hotbed for professional golf with four events set for late August and early September.

The Web.com’s WinCo Foods Open will be held Aug. 24-27 at Pumpkin Ridge’s Witch Hollow. The event has become one of the top destinations for the tour because the top 25 from the tour will earn cards for the following PGA Tour season after that event. Several NW professionals will take part including Brock Mackenzie from Yakima, Joel Dahmen from Clarkston, Andrew Yun from Tacoma and more.

During the same week, the Champion Tour’s Boeing Classic will be held at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, running from Aug. 25-27 and featuring the best from the Champions Tour. Bernhard Langer is the defending champion for the tournament.

The LPGA makes its annual visit to Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland with the Cambia Portland Classic set for Aug. 31-Sept. 3. The four-day tournament will feature a star-studded lineup and Canadian Brooke Henderson is the defending champion.

Finally, the Albertson’s Open will take place Sept. 14-16 at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise to round out the Pacific Northwest schedule of professional tour events.
