Long-time NW golf icon Hal Weston dies

Harold “Hal” Weston left his mark in just about every facet of golf in the Pacific Northwest from playing to volunteering to fund raising.

Weston passed away at the age of 93 and is remembered for his countless hours he spent helping promote golf in the Pacific Northwest.

As a player, Weston won a variety of Northwest titles and played in the 1972 U.S. Senior Amateur in Ohio. Off the course, he was elected to the PNGA Hall of Fame in 1997 for his outstanding play as an amateur and his contributions off the course. He also helped the Evans Scholarship program.
