There is plenty to like about Foster Golf Links, in Tukwila, Wash.

There is the location, just south of downtown Seattle and right off Interstate-5. The golf features 18 holes that might not be long but is challenging enough to test every game. There is the Billy Baroos Restaurant inside the clubhouse and there are several other things that make Foster a destination for many Puget Sound area golfers.

But what makes Foster attractive to most golfers is that it is an easy walk, almost like through a park.

“We are the type of course that anyone can enjoy,” said Warren Orr, the General Manager. “We might not be the longest course but we try and make it the most fun course around.”

On the course, Foster also features FootGolf and uses much of the course along the way for its FootGolf holes. The course also has Glow Ball events, wedge clinics, work leagues and even beer leagues. One of the most popular attractions is Movie Night at Foster, which will take place July 22 with 9-hole round followed by a showing of Happy Gilmore. The package includes golf, food and the movie.

At just under 5,000 yards, Foster might not stretch like some other courses, but there are enough holes that you can play every club in the bag and still find trouble along the way.

Billy Baroos Restaurant features 20 beers on tap and a Burger and Brew Thursday has proven to be popular – only if you like a free beer with your burger order.
