Former UW player Charlie Hughes wins B.C. Amateur

Charlie Hughes beat Adam Svensson in a playoff to claim the 2013 British Columbia Amateur Championship at Copper Point Golf Club. Hughes needed two sudden-death playoff holes to secure the win, but did so when he drained an over 10-foot birdie, while Svensson scored par.

Hughes, who graduated from Washington in 2013, shot even-par 70 in regulation.
