Kendall Gray of Federal Way, Wash. defeated Bree Wanderscheid of Goldendale, Wash. 2 and 1 in the Final match to win the 58th Pacific Northwest Junior Girls’ Amateur Championship, which was held at The Links Golf Club in Post Falls, Idaho.

Although the match was close throughout the day, Gray’s consistent play never allowed Wanderscheid to quite catch her. With a birdie on the par-4 16th hole, Wanderscheid was able to get to just 1-down, but on the par-3 17th hole she put her tee shot into a tough lie inside a greenside bunker and was not able to save par. Gray two-putted for par to lock up the title. Gray played the 17 holes of the match at even par.
