Coston comes from behind to wins Pacific Northwest Senior

PGA Professional Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo G&CC (Blaine, WA) won the PNW Senior Players’ Championship by one stroke over PGA Professional Mike Gove of Inglewood GC (Kenmore, WA).

Coston finished with a two-round total of 145, shooting rounds of 74-71 and coming back from a two-shot deficit after the first round. Gove had rounds of 73-73 for the tournament.

There was a logjam at third place at 147 with first-round leader Kelly DeShaw of Yakima Elks, amateur Brad Karns of royal Oaks, Mark Keating of the OGA Golf Course and Jim Pike of Sahalee Country Club.

George Mack Jr. of Black Butte and Jeff Marsh of Vancouver tied for seventh at 148 while Billy Bomar of Prairie Falls Golf Course in Idaho finished ninth.

In the team Four-Ball competition, PGA Professional Steve Stull of Richland, WA and Karns won by three strokes after shooting Four-Ball scores of 70-65-135, 9-under par.
