British Columbia golfer wins Tri-City Budwesier crown

Adam Cornelson of Vancouver, B.C. fired a three-round total of 197 to win the 2011 Tri-City Budweiser Pro-Am Championship at West Richland Golf Course.

Cornelson also pocketed a first-place check of $10,000 for claiming the championship. He opened with a 63 and stayed in the lead shooting rounds of 66 and 68 the rest of the way.

Californian Chad Fribley was second at 198 while Derek Barron of Spanaway tied for third in his first professional tournament at 199 along with Zach Bixler and Chris Jorgensen. Richard McDonald was sixth at 200.
