U of Portland is dropping its college golf programs

The University of Portland is dropping its golf programs after this season but adding a women’s crew team next year.

The move will help the university meet Title IX requirements in relation to the student body.

The school said it would honor current scholarship levels for members of the men’s and women’s golf teams. There are 16 men and women who currently play golf for the Pilots.
