Williams, of Moscow, Idaho and playing partner (UCLA sophomore) Patrick Cantlay lost 5 and 3 in the morning’s foursome (alternate-shot) action, but Williams rebounded by defeating Alan Dunbar 1 up in his afternoon singles match.
