PNW Section PGA raises nearly $100,000 in 100-hole event

PGA Professional Brian Thornton of Meridian Valley CC (Kent, WA) won the Northwest Open Invitational at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla after firing a final round score of 66, 6 under par for a three day total of 204, 12 under par. He won by one stroke over professional Brandon Kearney of Bend G&CC (Bend, OR) and amateur Michael Haack of Meridian Valley.
It was Thornton’s third major. He has previously won the 2007 PGA Professional Championship and 2009 Washington Open Invitational.
