Seventeen-year-old dominates Cambia Portland LPGA Classic

Youth was served at the Cambia Portland LPGA Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club when Canadian Brooke Henderson dominated the field.

And she is only 17 years old.

Henderson won the tournament with a record 21 under par score and became the first Canadian LPGA Tour player to win an event Since Lorie Kane won in 2001.

Henderson collected a winner’s check of $195,000 and became the third player in LPGA history to win before her 18th birthday joining Lydia Ko and Lexi Thompson. She was the first Monday qualifier to win on the LPGA Tour since Laurel Kean in 2000.
