Premier Golf contracted to run Lynnwood Municipal

After an extensive, 10-month review, the City of Lynnwood has contracted management of its golf course operations to Premier Golf. Premier is the leading golf management company serving municipal courses in the Puget Sound.

The 5-year contract approved by the Lynnwood City Council excludes management of grounds maintenance but offers a private management solution for the day-to-day operations with the anticipation that the course will become financially sustainable.

Premier’s goal will be to accomplish a seamless and transparent transition to a private management model. The City and Premier will work together through the month of December to ensure a smooth transition on Monday, December 30, 2013. Golfers will see improved customer service, the installation of a loyalty rewards program, and enhanced overall operations. Golf fees have been set for 2014, so the golfers will see no changes to the posted rates for 2014. Moving forward, Premier will work with the City of Lynnwood staff to optimize the rate structures for both rounds and revenues for the Lynnwood Golf Course. Premier Golf works with its municipal partners to deliver “Affordable, Accessible Golf.”
