Ellie Slama of Salem, Ore. was invited to compete in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA), held at Augusta National, but failed to make the cut, shooting rounds of 75-78.
A past PNGA Women’s Player of the Year (2019) and PNGA Junior Girls’ Player of the Year (2015, 2016), Slama is a fifth-year senior at Oregon State University and was making her third appearance in the ANWA. The 23-year-old started her final season with the Beavers with top-20 finishes in all four starts last fall, including a T-6 in the Dick McGuire Invitational.
