NW professionals roll by amateurs,win Hudson Cup; senior pro teamclaims close win

The team of Pacific Northwest professionals took control with the singles matches and went on to win the 65th edition of the Hudson Cup – matches that pit the top professionals against the top amateurs in the Pacific Northwest. The professionals won Hudson Cup by the score of 12 1/2 to 7 1/2.

The senior professional team got a key singles win and went on to beat the amateurs 10 1/2 to 9 1/2,

Professional Scott Erdmann, from Oswego Lake Country Club, won all three of his matches and won the Larry Lamberger Award for top professional. Erdmann teamed with Chris Griffin to win a foursome match and then paired with Corey Prugh to win a four-ball match. Erdmann then won his singles match again former Major League pitcher Erik Hanson.

Amateur Tim Tucker won the Charles Congdon Award.

On the senior side, Steve Bowen won the Bob McKendrick Award while Tom Brandes won the Bill Eggers Award for top amateur.
