A pair of PGA Tour pros took a week off from their tour schedule to play in the Washington Open Invitational at Glendale Country Club in Bellevue.

Michael Putnam of University Place, Wash. finished second to winner Tim Feenstra. Putnam finished with a three-round total of 207, which was seven shots behind Feenstra, a professional at Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle.

Andres Gonzales of Olympia finished third in the tournament at 208.

Putnam collected a check of $10,000 while Gonzales won $7,500 for finishing in third place. Not a bad payday for having a week off from the PGA Tour.

Putnam has played before on the PGA Tour while Gonzales is a rookie on the PGA Tour this year. Both are trying to keep their PGA Tour cards for a second year. They both need to finish among the top 125 players on the money list to keep their cards so they can play on the PGA Tour for the 2012 season.
