New Salish Cliffs course getting closer to opening

Updated: August 1, 2011

The new Salish Cliffs Golf Club in Shelton, Wash. owned and operated by the Squaxin Tribe, could open in late August or early September.

The Gene Bates-designed course is working on finishing up construction of the clubhouse as well as some other projects around the golf course.

The course was able to get some seed down on areas that were wash out during the winter and that grass is now coming in.

“We still need some time but Mother Nature is finally helping us get closer,” said Director of Golf David Kass.
