PNW Section PGA raises nearly $100,000 in 100-hole event
In the fifth year of the Pacific Northwest PGA Section’s 100 Hole...
Jamie Hall of the Pacific Northwest Golf Academy put together rounds of 64-72-68 to win the Pelzer Golf Oregon Open Invitational at Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters, Ore. by three shots.
Hall grabbed the lead with his opening-round of 64 and made the field of 184 players play catchup the rest of the tournament. There were a total of 92 professionals and 92 amateurs in this year’s Oregon Open.
Defending Champion (and 2017 Champion) PGA Professional Russell Grove of Eastern Washington University finished in second place after shooting rounds of 71-67-69 to finish three shots behind Hall.
Blake Snyder of PNW Golf Academy finished third at 209, five shots behind.
A pair of amateurs tied for the low amateur of the tournament as Brian Miller of Prineville CC (Prineville, OR) tied with Sam Renner of Awbrey Glen GC (Bend, OR) at 212 – eight shots out of first place. Professional Dan Campbell of Bellingham Golf and Country Club and David Patterson or Orchard Hills also finished at 212 for the tournament.
