Hanson wins Seattle Amateur

Former Major League pitcher Erik Hanson of Sahalee Country Club fired a three-round total of 204 to win the Seattle Amateur held at Jackson Park, Jefferson Park and West Seattle.
Hanson took control with a 62 at Jackson Park and led the rest of the way, finishing two shots ahead of Greg Gildea of the University of Washington and Andrew Whalen of Northwestern University.
Erik Olson of Riverbend finished in a tie for fourth with Jonathan Keane and Kyle Cornett at 209. Nick Palewicz and Patrick Sato tied for seventh at 210.
