Jeff Coston won the Hawaii Senior State Open for the second time in three years by edging multiple PGA and Champions Tour winner Dave Eichelberger by a shot. Coston made a 9- foot putt on the final hole for the victory.
Coston, Eichelberger, former U.S. Open Champion Scott Simpson and Ishi were all tied entering the final round. The four players were also paired together which made for high drama at Mauna Lana Resort. Coston had rounds of 71-70-68 for a -7 total and the championship and collected a first place check of $5,000.
