Black Butte Ranch opens up new lodge

For over 50 years, Central Oregon’s Black Butte Ranch has been a go-to place for everyone, from families to couples looking to enjoy a relaxing but memorable escape. The 1,800-acre Ranch is filled with year-round activities, including world-class golf courses, a rejuvenating spa, and more.

The most significant change has now opened at the heart of the Ranch with the new Lodge Restaurant and Aspen Lounge. The original Lodge served us well for 50 years, but the time came for an updated facility. The new building was designed by Hacker Architects to connect guests to the surrounding mountain and lake landscape. The new 28,000- square-foot building features two levels and panoramic views from nearly every space. The exterior of the Lodge features a rustic design with touches like charred wood cladding, while the inside is outfitted with exposed wood structures and finishes that create a warm and open atmosphere.

Inside, you’ll find a new Lodge Restaurant and bar, adding to the on-site dining options at the Ranch. There is also a new fireside room, private dining room, and second-floor Aspen Lounge. With a new Three Sisters Event Space, there are even more options for hosting a reunion, family gathering, meeting, or wedding on the Ranch. The new Lodge is also home to a state-of-the-art kitchen for catering your special event.

The new Lodge is the perfect addition to the resort’s pair of championship golf courses, Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow, plus the new Little Meadow Putting Course the resort opened in 2020.
