Jazy Roberts of Australia defeated Anika Varma of Rocklin, Calif. 2&1 over the 36-hole final match to secure the 123rd PNGA Women’s Amateur title. The championship was held at Wine Valley Golf Club.

The championship began with 36 holes of stroke-play qualifying on July 7 and 8, followed by 18-hole single elimination match play on July 9 and 10, and culminated with the 36-hole final match.

Throughout the morning’s first 18 holes, Varma had the edge and opened a 3-up lead over the opening eight. Roberts stayed close behind, though, winning hole Nos. 9, 14 and 18 to eventually card a round of 70. Varma finished the morning with a 69 to enter the afternoon 1-up.
