Clarkston High (Wash.) graduate Joel Dahmen placed second in the Wells Fargo Championship shooting a final-round 1-under 70 in the PGA Tour events. Dahmen is also a former University of Washington golfer.
Dahmen, who started the day in a three-way tie for the lead, finished with a final score of 12-under 272 to earn sole possession of second. He was behind only Max Homa, who shot a 4-under 67 in the final round the finished three strokes ahead of Dahmen.
Dahmen finished tied for second in the 2018 John Deere Classic. The third-year pro is still looking for his first PGA Tour win.
