The North Shore Golf Course is undergoing a $7.5 million renovation, which began in November. This project, undertaken by the course owner, The Puyallup Tribe of Indians, will substantially improve the playability of the golf course and the quality of the golfer’s experience. The renovation will provide transformative upgrades to the golf course, and will include installation of a state-of-the-art irrigation system.

Under the guidance of Puyallup Tribal Enterprises, this renovation project combines the design work of renowned architect, Dan Hixson, and Ridgetop Golf, a locally owned and industry-leading golf course construction and renovation contractor. Major projects for Dan Hixson include Wine Valley GC, Silvies Ranch, and Bandon Crossings. Over the last three decades, Ridgetop Golf has built an extensive portfolio, including premier courses throughout the Pacific Northwest and Western United States, and was selected by the USGA to install the fairway bunker on hole 18 for the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay. Ridgetop Golf projects include Sand Point Country Club, Tacoma Country and Golf Club, Seattle Golf Club and many more. To learn more, visit Ridgetop’s website at www.ridgetopgolf.com.

This project, expected to take approximately 12 months, will entail both partial and complete closure of the golf course during that period. Improvements will include redesigned green complexes, new teeing grounds, bunker renovation, tree removal, and a new irrigation system.

Greens fee pass holders will have the option of continuing their membership at their current rate while the course has nine holes open. Tee times will be available in two-hour blocks, followed by two hours of turn times for those wanting to play 18 holes.

Due to this planned work, pass holders may also cancel their membership without penalty.

Following the renovation, existing pass holders will have priority when renewing their membership.

Please note that the back nine was closed starting in November and the driving range will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only.
