Ethan Schwan of Sammamish, WA and Nicole Tang of Bellevue, WA won the 2026 Pacific Northwest Junior PGA Championship on May 31 in DuPont, WA.
Schwan and Tang will have the opportunity to join the nation’s top junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the 50th Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana. The 50th Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 28-31, 2026 at Fields Ranch East & West in Frisco, Texas.
Schwan, 17 of Sammamish, WA shot a total of 140 (4-under par) for the Championship and edged out Christian Harlow and Ben Barrett by one. Christian Harlow won in a two-hole playoff to win second place and the second spot to represent the Pacific Northwest PGA Section later this summer.
Nicole Tang, 16 of Bellevue, WA, shot a total of 66-70-136 (8-under par) for the Championship. She won by ten strokes over Chanyoung Park.
Each of the 41 PGA of America Sections will send 4 players to Texas. Therefore, Schwan, Harlow, Tang and Park will be competing at Fields Ranch East & West in Frisco, Texas.
Winning the Boys 13-15 age division was Noah Jang of Bellevue, WA. Nixon Dremousis of Seattle, WA finished second, losing in a USGA scorecard tiebreaker playoff.
Winning the Girls 13-15 age division was Allison Gu of Bellevue, WA won with Kaylie Bae of Happy Valley, OR finishing second. Raymond Wang of Bothell, WA won the Boys 12 & Under. Hudson Ebel of Spokane Valley, WA finished second. Holliday Sun of Clyde Hill, WA won the Girls 12 & Under. Ava Pham of Tacoma, WA finished second.
