The PGA Tour just might be on the way to the Pacific Northwest for the 2028 season. Nothing is etched in stone, but the PGA Tour is expected to make some serious changes to its schedule for 2028 and one of those changes just might be adding a tournament stop at Sahalee for that season.

The Seattle area has hosted big-time professional events with the 2015 United States Open and the 1998 PGA Championship, plus Snoqualmie Ridge has been the host course for the past 20 years for the PGA Tour Champions Boeing Classic.

Sahalee has been known as a championship golf course for all of the tours. In fact, the LPGA has held its Women’s PGA Championship in 1026 and 2024 and the NGC-NEC Invitational was held at Sahalee in 2002.

But the PGA Tour itself has never had a stop in the Pacific Northwest.   The Pacific Northwest has proven that is can come up big with it comes to showing support for professional golf. The Boeing Classic always draws big crowds and the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay was a sell out.

Stay tuned on this story. But just the fact the Pacific Northwest is in the conversation for the 2028 PGA Tour season is exciting news for golf fans around the Pacific Northwest. No dates or anything has been talked about but the tour would not want it conflict with the Boeing Classic.
