Champions crowned at Washington State Par-3 Championship

Koen Solis of The Home Course and Avery Rengglie won the men’s and women’s championships at the Washington State Par-3 Championships at Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma.

Solis fired a two-round total of 112 with rounds of 54-58 while Renegglie had rounds of 58-56 to win the women’s title.

Solis had to hang on to win the championship. He was tied for the lead after the first round and then had to survive rainy and windy conditions in the second round to hold off Dick Thompson by one shot to win the tournament. Thompson put together a final-round 56 to finish one shot back.
